News - Starter for Ten
At PMW, the Dame Vera Lynn Trust (DVLT) is close to all our
hearts, not least because our very own MD, Peter Sutton, is the chairman!
The DVLT for Children with Cerebral Palsy
provides a specialist service for families of young children with cerebral
palsy and other motor learning disabilities. Parents and children learn
daily living skills together at our School for Parents using the principles of
Conductive Education.
Throughout the
year, we do our bit to help raise awareness and money for the DVLT’s fantastic
cause. This month, six of our brightest and brainiest prospects took part in
the biggest quiz the DVLT has held to date.
I’ll have a P
please Bob, (PMW’s representatives) excelled in the music round and
demonstrated their knowledge on an array of topics from Shakespeare to sport
but sadly didn’t claim the top spot this time round. However the team proudly
took home two raffle prizes and had their fill of the fish and chip supper!
In total, 21
teams of six from across the region took part resulting in a fantastic £1016.49
being raised on the night, with plenty of networking taking place for the
duration.
